North Texas Tesla Owners Group d/b/a Tesla Owners Club of North Texas is a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation registered in the State of Texas and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(7) not-for-profit “Social Club.” We are also participants in the Tesla Owners Club Program, which gives us access to certain Tesla benefits, including meetings at Tesla facilities, occasional Tesla merchandise discounts and other goodies.
Our club meets at least monthly for various social, technical, environmental and other get-togethers. Look at our upcoming and prior events pages to see the types of things we do.
Join Us!
We’d love to have you join our club! The club is operated by volunteers and the sole significant expense is currently general liability insurance. The club is charged two different premiums:
- A base premium that covers the club and its members for all events held on private property or otherwise not accessible to the public. (PRIVATE) (Example: DFW Solar Tour Wrap Party)
- A variable premium that covers the club and its members for all on-road events and events accessible to the public and is charged for each event. (PUBLIC) (Examples: Shannon Brewing Company Tesla Car Show & Denton Horse Country Tour
NOTES:
- All memberships are only open to individuals. The club does not currently offer corporate memberships.
- Membership of all types is per-family living in the same household.
- Dues and other contributions to the club are not tax-deductible.
In order to keep the club accessible to all, we have adopted two membership levels plus a free option.

Regular Member -- $50 / year
Requirements:
Must own / have a valid reservation for a Tesla Motors vehicle. If a Regular Member no longer owns a Tesla Motors vehicle, Regular Membership may be renewed, so long as it does not lapse.
Benefits:
- May attend ALL club events without additional base charges (there may be a charge for expenses beyond base insurance and incidentals, e.g. meeting room rental, pre-paid meals, track fees).
- Full voting rights in all club business. Each membership receives one vote.
- Access to all club social media channels and private message boards.
- Club newsletter
Associate Member -- $10 / year
Requirements:
None
Benefits:
- May attend PRIVATE club events (meetings & social events), excluding events where additional insurance is required (typically events on a private track), without additional base charges (there may be a charge for expenses beyond base insurance and incidentals, e.g. meeting room rental, pre-paid meals)
- May attend PUBLIC club events (e.g. car shows, parades, road trips / rallies) for an additional charge of $20 per event (there may be a charge for expenses beyond base insurance and incidentals, e.g. meeting room rental, pre-paid meals).
- Access to all club social media channels and private message boards.
- Club newsletter.

Requirements:
Must have a demonstrated interest in Tesla Motors in North Texas.

Guests
At the club board's discretion, guests may attend one club event per year without charge. Guests may attend certain events for a fee to be determined by the board.
Key Differences Between Regular & Associate Membership:
- Associate Members do not have voting rights.
- Associate Members have a per-event charge for certain events.
- Associate Members are not eligible to participate in PRIVATE events where additional insurance is required (typically events on a private track)
- Associate Members are not required to own or have a reservation for a Tesla Motors vehicle
MEMBERSHIP OF ALL TYPES IS PER-FAMILY LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD.
Member and spouse/partner, and unmarried children under 21; residing in same household. Children living outside the member's household are included if they full time students or members of the military.
Events Excluded from Charges and Membership Restrictions:
It is the club's desire to promote electric vehicles in North Texas, so certain public events will be offered without charge and do not require membership.
